Financial Support
Our goal is to provide financial support to all doctoral students in the Program, and we have been able to do so since its inception. First-year students in the past have received fellowship support, which does not have a work commitment. In subsequent years, doctoral students are usually funded with research assistantships, often in connection with the faculty mentor.

In the Fall 2002, financial support awards were at least $13,000 for the year. While a fellowship award covers tuition, students on assistantships pay tuition and fees. In the Fall 2002, tuition is $123 per credit hour and miscellaneous student fees total about $200.
