have participated in intensive intervention services.
Research has explored the socio-emotional development of
children with autism who have completed treatment and have
achieved “normal functioning” in terms of intellectual and
adaptive abilities. Dr. Bailey is interested in exploring
the subtle differences in social abilities (e.g., Theory of
Mind) that may remain following intensive treatment.
Dr. Bailey has also participated in research exploring
children’s impression formation and the impact of peer
acceptance, neglect, and rejection on a child’s functioning.
